Importing Contacts to the CRM

Already have a list of customers? Great news—you don't need to start from scratch.

SMB Booster makes it quick and easy to import your existing contacts into your Business Hub using a simple CSV file. Whether your contacts are stored in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Outlook or another CRM system, you can transfer them into your account in just a few steps.

During this lesson you'll learn how to:

  • Import CSV file to your CRM

  • Import Google Doc/Sheets into CRM

  • Import names, phone numbers and email addresses

Why use the CRM?

To begin, navigate to the Contacts section of your Business Hub and select Import Contacts. Upload your CSV file, then review the field mapping to ensure information such as names, email addresses and phone numbers are matched correctly.

Once you've confirmed everything looks right, simply click Import Contacts and your customer database will be added to your account.

After importing your contacts, you'll be able to:

Manage customer records in one place

Track enquiries and conversations

Send quotes and follow-ups

Organise your leads using the CRM

Prepare for future email or SMS campaigns (where enabled)

If you're importing a large number of contacts, we recommend checking a few records after the import to ensure all information has been transferred correctly.
